Bright Spot: Habitat for Humanity volunteers

Updated: Monday, July 7 2014, 06:32 PM EDT

Rochester, N.Y. – Monday’s bright spot shines on local volunteers who are building homes for people in need.

In June, nearly 150 volunteers, supporters and staff celebrated the achievements of 34 Rochester community members at Flower City Habitat for Humanity’s annual dinner.

Volunteers were honored for years of service with house construction tools, a certificate and a commemorative pin.

Flower City Habitat for Humanity has built over 200 homes since 1984.
