Question: My S-I-L's teaching job was the victim of budget cuts (5/12). He has been unable to secure another teaching job. My daughter is working full time but fairly low salary (baby due 2/13). Do my husband and I have any obligation to assist them financially and to what extent(they have a mortgage and have cut their expenses to bare bones but I feel they did it too late). We have the resources but it's getting a bit awkward with us feeling obliged to pick up the check every time we go anywhere with them. Do we let them struggle? He is has had many interviews but no success as of yet. We're in a panic!
