Perinton, N.Y. - The Ladies of the Midvale Country Club know how to find unique ways to give back to our community. Each year they host a fashion show for charity. This was held on a beautiful Saturday in November
I am invited to be their emcee and always accept(if my schedule allows), because it's not only a fun event, it's for a good cause. The ladies and their daughters model beautiful fashions from local and national clothing companies. Guests are treated to a delicious lunch as they watch the models strut their stuff on the runway.
This year the ladies of Midvale chose to help two charities, Chrysalis House--which is run by the Center For Youth Services and Crisis Nursery. Each was presented a check for more than 10-thousand dollars.
Some of that money was raised the day of the fashion show, through the sale of raffle tickets and silent auction items. But these ladies work all year long doing various fundraisers to help these charities.
They have been doing this for decades and are already planning for next year. Each year they seem to be able to raise more money. Even in tough economic times, members of the Midvale Country Club, their families, friends and supporters come through to help people in need in our community.
