I too, as a rabid mets fan, loved watching 'The Kid', holding the team together and being a true athelete. It saddens me that he wasnt able to beat his biggest challenge, cancer. He was a class act, loved by many new Yorkers, along with millions throught the world. A true Hall of Fame inductee. Glad to hear that your son met his idol. To see the look from the picture posted showed that no matter what went on in his(carters) life..., you could never wipe that smile off of his face. god bless his family....
