This is a valuable perspective and makes the writer a crucial component to society. And to the people who know him and work with him. Re Holmes: we need to be alert when a person's mental health slips off the edge. Not just alert, but active. This takes extraordinary sensitivity and courage--which are also rare and highly valuable.
