Rochester, N.Y.- Some University of Rochester students will head to the White House this weekend to sing holiday songs.
Eleven undergraduate members of the U of R’s all-female a cappella group Vocal Point were invited to perform classic and contemporary holiday songs for two hours Saturday morning.
The group was told the President and First Lady are not expected to make an appearance during their performance, but they are still honored and excited.
Lindsay Forbes, the group’s business manager, said, “We’re hoping our high notes might attract Bo. It would be fun to at least meet the first dog.”
The group will perform for guests and visitors taking the annual Holiday Tour.
