Rochester, N.Y. - Wilma Rivera says she is lost without her dear friend, Lydia Bryant. Bryant, the 27-year-old mother from Gates, was shot to death along with her boyfriend Luis Davila Wednesday.
Police have said they believe the couple was targeted.
"It feels like a nightmare, I just can't get the memories out of my head," said Rivera.
Rivera and Bryant worked together for more than two years at a Rochester nightclub called Hush, later renamed Scene Ultra Lounge.
"She's the reason I even work here," explained Rivera.
Bryant would frequently dance behind the bar, share jokes with coworkers or discuss her beloved son.
"There wasn't a time when I would talk to her that he (her son) didn't come up or something about his football games on Sundays," said Rivera.
When asked who, or why someone might of done this, Rivera couldn't think of a motive.
"I have no idea why anyone would want to hurt the two of them. They are the sweetest people anyone would want to meet," she added.
Bryant will not have a ceremonial funeral, but calling hours are scheduled for Sunday evening at New Comer Funeral Homes on Ridgeway Avenue in Rochester.
Davila's calling hours are expected Sunday from 2-4 p.m. And 7-9 p.m. At Falvo Funeral Home on N. Goodman Street.
Police have not made an arrest in the homicides. If you have any information that could help please, please call CrimeStoppers at 585-423-9300.
