Elizabeth Schubert visited
T'ai Chi Ch'uan Center, at 80 Rockwood Place in Brighton, to explore the benefits of this Asian method of exercise, meditation, and self-defense.
The center is holding an open house on Saturday, Jan. 24 from 11 a.m. to noon. Their next 10-week session begins on Monday, February 2.
According to the Center's Web site, "T'ai Chi Ch'uan is a set of naturally flowing movements for health and fitness, relaxation, meditation, and self defense, that originated in China nearly 1,000 years ago. Since then, it has been highly valued as one of the treasures of China."
