This week on Many Voices, Many Visions we meet a local man who uses his disability to create poignant documentaries. Adrian Esposito has Asperger's Syndrome, a disability on the Autism Spectrum of Disorders. It can affect a person's communication skills and cause them to hyper-focus on a topic. Adrian's passion is filmmaking and his intense interest has led him to produce and direct several films on topics ranging from people with disabilities to his current project,
Aging Trees of Knowledge. We will hear from one of the subjects of the film, local historian and activist, Dr. David Anderson.
Plus, it may be too cold for rowing on the Genesee River, but a group called "Cross Currents" is already planning their next season. The all-minority member group is looking for new rowers for the spring. The group was formed in 2006 to demonstrate that rowing is a sport accessible to people from all ethnic groups. Cross Currents is made up of people from all backgrounds and abilities and has competed in local regattas and is quickly making a name for itself.
