This week we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month with a preview of an upcoming film series.  We’ll meet one of the filmmakers taking part and hear how Asian Pacific culture is very much a part of Rochester’s identity.

 

Also, it’s estimated that more than 31 million Americans have some form of hearing loss.  In May hundreds are expected to come out to make strides to support those with hearing loss at the annual Walk4Hearing event. We’ll hear from this year’s walk co-chair.

"Many Voices, Many Visions" is a multicultural public affairs program airing on 13WHAM-TV Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. The show explores our community's diversity in terms of race, ethnicity, creed, age, gender, gender orientation and ability. Teachers are invited to tape the programs for educational use. Each week the original "Many Voices, Many Visions" theme song is performed by different Rochester community members.
