In April, Former Amerk Gates Orlando became the first recipient of an artificial heart while he awaits a suitable donor. He’s hoping his story will encourage others to become an organ donor. My guest knows full well the importance of being an organ donor. She’s a heart transplant survivor who will be the keynote speaker at the Harbor House of Rochester’s “And the BEAT goes on” Benefit Dinner. Along with her is Dr. Leway Chen, co-founder of Harbor House of Rochester and Associate Professor of Cardiology at the URMC.

Bollywood is alive and well in Rochester thanks to the efforts of Anu Shah, founder of Bollywood Dance Mania. The group is dedicated to preserving Indian culture and educating others about India's rich history. This year Bollywood Dance Mania is presenting a dance and theater performance called, "Shadows of the Past."
