Mercy Flight Central, in 2012, marked 20 years of service transporting patients in emergencies. Since 1992, Mercy Flight Central has cared for more than 12,000 people. The service operates without state or federal funding. One quarter of it's annual operating budget comes from donations to help offset the more than $2 million in transports not covered by insurance, Medicaid or Medicare. During this taping of Many Voices, Many Visions in December, we learn about the organization's efforts to raise money for new life-saving equipment.

Plus, we speak to a local woman business owner about the challenges women face as entrepreneurs. According to the National Association of Women Business Owners, just about 10 million businesses in the United States are owned by women. What are the challenges they face and how can those challenges become opportunities for growth? We speak to Renee Frazier.
