This week, what can a reality TV star teach Rochester women about empowerment? Later this month we’ll find out as a local group prepares to host Tanya Young Williams—wife of former NBA star Jayson Williams. She has been invited to speak at the Rochester Women’s Empowerment Conference on April 25th at the Radisson Hotel on East Main Street.

Plus, There is no question that young people in our city face challenges when it comes to education and, in some cases, their personal safety. Among the many organizations trying to make Rochester a better place for kids is the group “Youth For Christ.” They’re trying to raise money and awareness for their efforts.

"Many Voices, Many Visions" is a multicultural public affairs program airing on 13WHAM-TV Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. The show explores our community's diversity in terms of race, ethnicity, creed, age, gender, gender orientation and ability.
