This week on Many Voices, Many Visions a group of nursing students traveled to Guatemala to help bring basic healthcare to people there. However, the nurses ended up getting so much more out of the experience.

Plus, we talk to a local HIV/AIDS researcher. Dr. Sheldon Fields, from the University of Rochester School of Nursing, just recently returned from a trip to Africa to help mentor nurses there on the care of HIV/AIDS patients. He's also involved in helping study and fight the disease here at home through Project Vogue.

And, a word about an upcoming fundraiser called “The Walk for Peace” at Genesee Valley Park.  It’s put on by the Assisi Institute.
