Successful Pathways
Teen pregnancy may be somewhat idealized in movies like “Juno” and TV shows like “Glee” but in real life, being a teen mother or father is hardly easy. LaShuanda Echols-Smith knows this all too well.  She is the founder and director of Successful Pathways, Inc. It’s an organization that works teen parents and those at risk of early parenting. Echols-Smith was a teen mother herself, having given birth to a child at the age of 14.

There's no question that in this difficult economy, making and saving money is hard for many of us.  It's even harder for low-income workers.  Creating Assets, Savings and Hope or C.A.S.H., as it's known, is trying to change that with financial counseling and literacy.
