This week we learn about a mother who, along with her husband, started a foundation to help families of children who have suffered a traumatic brain injury.  The Traumatic Brain Injury Foundation was started by Dawn and Kurt Schessl after their son was injured.  Their journey toward understanding their son’s injury has been a long one - -and today we hear some of what they’ve learned.

Chances are you or someone in your family was a boy scout when they were young.  If so, you remember hearing about camping trips, badges and making friends.  If not, then my next guest wants to change that.  Carlos Rodriguez is the Finance Chair of the Genesee Crossroads District of the Seneca Waterways Council, Boy Scouts of America. If he looks familiar, its because he recently retired as Assistant Attorney General’s office in Rochester.  He has spent his career as an attorney and now he’s devoting his time to inner city scouting.

About the Show
"Many Voices, Many Visions" is a multicultural public affairs program airing on 13WHAM-TV Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. The show explores our community's diversity in terms of race, ethnicity, creed, age, gender, gender orientation and ability. Teachers are invited to tape the programs for educational use. Each week the original "Many Voices, Many Visions" theme song is performed by different Rochester community members. Student performances are welcome.

For information about the show, call (585) 321-2204 or e-mail Norma Holland at NHolland@13wham.com.
