Syracuse, N.Y. (AP) - Onondaga County's District Attorney, who sided
last week with two men who've accused a fired Syracuse University
assistant basketball coach of sexual abuse, says he hasn't
interviewed the coach or his wife because of an ongoing federal
investigation.
District Attorney William Fitzpatrick made the
comment during an hour-long online chat Monday with readers of the
Syracuse Post-Standard about his review of
allegations against former coach Bernie Fine.
Two former Syracuse University ball boys, Bobby Davis and his
stepbrother, Michael Lang, say they were molested by Fine in the
1980s. Fine was fired Nov. 27 after the public release of a
recording Davis made of an apparently incriminating 2002 telephone
conversation with Fine's wife Laurie.
No charges have been filed. Fine has denied any wrongdoing.
