Pittsburgh, PA - A Maine man is suing former Syracuse University assistant basketball coach Bernie Fine for alleged sexual abuse claims.
Zach Tomaselli claims Fine molested him in a Pittsburgh hotel room after a game in 2002.
"I made the decision to go public after Thanksgiving because I know he was lying and is dangerous and could hurt other kids," Tomaselli said at a Thursday morning news conference.
His lawyer said Tomaselli traveled on a bus to Pittsburgh for the game, but did not travel with the team.
The lawsuit comes one day after Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick said he will not pursue charges against Fine because the statute of limitations has expired on the claims involving two other accusers.
But Fitzpatrick said Bobby Davis' and Michael Lang's claims are credible.
Authorities in Pennsylvania are investigating Tomaselli's accusations.
Fine has maintained he's innocent.
He was fired last month.
