I interned at 13WHAM (then WOKR) in 2000. It was the summer between my freshman and sophomore year at Syracuse University. I met Don, Doug, Ginny, Norma, the whole gang.

During the school year, I reported for WSYR radio in Syracuse. I made the TV switch in 2003. I worked at News 10 Now (now called YNN) in Syracuse for more than two years. Then off to Boston to report for Channel 56 (WLVI). Colorado called soon after. I had the great pleasure of working for KUSA (9News) in Denver for four years. I really wasn’t in Denver though. I was the bureau reporter in Fort Collins. Gary Wolfe - an exceptional photojournalist - and I roamed northern Colorado picking up memorable stories along the way. We even got to witness an EF-3 tornado as it barreled towards a small town called Windsor. Our coverage earned an Emmy award.

After Gary passed away from an illness in 2010, I knew it was time to head home. I grew up in Pittsford and pretty much my entire family stuck around. At the start of 2011 my wife, Jill, and I put our two dogs (both from a rescue) into the back of the car and hit the road.

Walking into 13WHAM was like walking into an old friend’s house. Some things have changed, but not the important stuff. The team here is as fun as ever.

You can catch me anchoring on Saturday evenings and reporting during the week. I’d love it if you "like" my fan page and followed me on Twitter. I keep both packed with tidbits and updates.
