Angela Hong joined the 13WHAM news team in August 2010 as the station's first-ever Video Journalist. This means you’ll often see Angela out shooting her own stories and also reporting on-air.
Prior to 13WHAM, Angela was an anchor and reporter at WDNN-TV in Dalton, GA. At WDNN, she covered hyper-local news for viewers in the Northwest Georgia region.
Angela graduated from Emory University with degrees in Journalism and Political Science. In college, she was an anchor, producer, reporter and photographer for her weekly college newscasts. She also interned at Fox 5 News in Atlanta, CNN, The Atlanta Press Club, Forsyth County News and WCIV in Charleston, SC.
When she’s not at work, you can find her reading a good book, working out, attempting to cook or trying out new places to eat in Rochester. She is also a member of the Asian American Journalists Association.
Angela is a native of Atlanta, but she is happy to called Rochester her home. (Yes, even though it snows.)
