Chuck Wade joined the 13WHAM sports department in October of 2008. You can see him anchoring sports on the weekend and reporting on a variety of sports topics during the week.
This is Chuck’s second tour of duty at 13WHAM, he previously was a sports producer while finishing college at SUNY Brockport. He returns to Rochester after spending two years as the weekend sports anchor for WVIR-TV in Charlottesville, Virginia where he covered the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, and the occasional NASCAR race.
A native of Batavia, Chuck grew up watching Channel 13 and is thrilled to be back in Rochester. “I am incredibly lucky to be able to work at the station I grew up watching, with people I’ve come to respect, all while doing something that I love.”
When not working, Chuck enjoys reading, working out, and attempting to master the art of charcoal grilling. And hoping that one day the Bills will finally win a Super Bowl.
