Evan White hails from Boston Massachusetts. He was raised in Holliston, a small suburb 40 minutes from the city.

In 2005, Evan graduated Cum Laude from Emerson College with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. As an Emerson student, he worked in the news and sports department of WERS, eventually serving as sports director.

WERS was just his second station though; Evan also worked alongside Boston sportscaster Chris Fama at WMRC in Milford, Massachusetts, providing color commentary for high school football, basketball and American Legion baseball.

After a brief stint at Newton Cable Access television, Evan left the Commonwealth for Utica, New York.

He was hired in 2006 as a general assignment reporter and filled-in as a sports anchor for WKTV NewsChannel 2.

During his three years in Utica, Evan covered crime, agriculture, local and state politics as well as visits by President Barack Obama and professional golfer Tiger Woods.

Evan is thrilled to be covering stories in Rochester and anxious to hear news tips from viewers and web readers.

Business, politics, agriculture, and health are among Evan's favorite subjects. During his spare time, Evan loves reading the Wall Street Journal, Politico.com, following professional sports, and playing basketball.
