Patrice Walsh is truly the example of the 13WHAM motto: “More Local News, More Local Experience.” Not only was Patrice born and raised in Rochester, she has spent her entire career here on Channel 13. Patrice is one of 13WHAM News’ most experienced reporters.

She was hired in October of 1980 as a newsroom assistant and soon began reporting on weekends. Patrice moved into the weekend anchor chair from 1991 to 1993.

Patrice was born in Irondequoit and was graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School Of Communications at Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Television-Radio. Patrice has won Edward R. Murrow and New York State Broadcasters awards for reports airing in nightly newscasts.

Her coverage of the Kali Ann Poulton story is only one example of Patrice's highly regarded work at 13WHAM News.

Patrice and her husband Frank, are the proud parents of three children. Family remains Patrice’s top priority. Patrice enjoys watching her children compete in high school and college sports. She also tries to keep in shape by exercising and walking her two year old black lab, Sammy.
