(AP) - If you're flying American Airlines anytime soon - you may want to check your flight status.
AA is cutting back on its flight schedule by 2 percent for the rest of September and October - which could mean as many 34 of the airlines 1700 flights per day will be canceled.
In the past three days - hundreds of flights have been canceled due to a number of factors - including pilots calling in sick and more maintenance reports being filed by pilots.
AA also announced it has notified more than 11,000 workers they could lose their jobs as part of its bankruptcy re-organization.
