Batavia, N.Y. - “Alpina Foods,” a new yogurt plant, officially opens Monday in Genesee County.
There will be a ceremony in Batavia for the Columbia-based company.
The company indicated it expects to hire 50 workers.
Alpina Foods makes dairy products including baby food and yogurt. The brands include Restart Yogurt and Revive Greek Yogurt.
The new facility will be at the Genesee Valley Agri-Business Park.
