Rochester, N.Y. -- More stores at area malls will be opening earlier on Black Friday this year.
Local malls will open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday, but several individual stores are opting to open their doors at midnight or earlier.
Nearly 60 stores at Eastview Mall in Victor plan to open for holiday shopping before 6 a.m. Last year, that number was closer to 10.
More than 50 stores at Marketplace Mall in Henrietta will open at midnight on Thanksgiving night. At The Mall at Greece Ridge, more than 60 stores will open their doors at midnight.
