Gadget fans waiting anxiously for the next i-Phone may be reaching the home stretch.
There's no official announcement from Apple. But multiple reports say it's planning a September 12th event, at which it will presumably introduce the next generation of its Smartphone.
It is being called the i-Phone 5, although no name has been announced. Speculation on new and improved features to this model include a slightly larger screen, a smaller dock connector and technology making it easier for shoppers to make payments through their phones.
Apple-oriented blog "i-More" also says the mythical "i-Pad Mini" will be unveiled.
