New York/Rochester, N.Y. - Today is the start of Kodak's auction for its digital patents.
Two early bids, backed by Google and Apple, were between $150- and $250-million.
The company hopes to get about $2.5 billion out of the auction.
Kodak has about 1,100 patents to sell and needs the money to pull the company out of bankruptcy.
