New Midtown Streets, Sewers Could Cost $28M

And... And... And... drip, drip, drip. Of course we need to do X at $$$s, BTW we'll also need $$$s for part Y , and then you can't think we can do all this without Z for $$$$$s more. Another majoe hole for tax dollars and egos

The tunnel entrance begins near the old Greyhound bus station, then goes south to the Convention Center. Anything done to re-route pipes and such will have to be done very carefully. The reason for this is there is a much older underground canal supply system that lies beneath the current tunnel that supply trucks use. At one time, the old tunnels were "canals" that came from the river to supply merchants in the main street area. They had canal boats running supplies to Sibley's and other stores downtown, very fragile area to mess with.

Right...other funding sources. Sorry I don't buy it. I think the already overtaxed tax payers are going to fund it. Somebody is going to get rich and it won't be us.
