if thats true why were they being broken in half as they were being tossed out and there was not dumpster where the drywall was being thrown. if it is in fact going to a good cause fine but I didn't see that. I still think it was a shame to tear down an old home.

Just so you all know. I have been there. "has anyone been there to see the house? I have..it should be called extreme waste. while my husband and I watched for about 15 minutes there were wall size pieces of drywall tossed out one after the other. we would save that for the next project. who knows what else they wasted." If you noticed the drywall being tossed was thrown in its own dumpster. It gets sifted through and anything that can be used goes to a habitat for humanity home. So yes many little homes are being touched by this project. Unless you are behind the scenes you have absolutely no clue so quit spouting your mouth off. As far as I hear and saw the neighbors are all great. I would like to see you organize an event like this and have everything under complete control. To the Crew Chiefs out there working almost 24 hour shifts....keep up the good work. To all the laborers and volunteers and tradesmen, You will be blessed for your good deeds someday! Maybe if all you people that are complaining would've volunteered you would be rewarded someday also. Instead keep complaining and you will be judged for that someday. May God Bless You All!

If anyone complaining here has watched the show they normally pay for the morgage and most bills are taken care of. Stop being jealous because you didn't deserve it.

has anyone been there to see the house? I have..it should be called extreme waste. while my husband and I watched for about 15 minutes there were wall size pieces of drywall tossed out one after the other. we would save that for the next project. who knows what else they wasted. we also over heard a lot of neighbors who thought the home did not fit into the neighborhood. too extravagant. and many homes on the street and surrounding streets were empty. were the residents paid to stay away or did they choose not to be in the melee..it will be a beautiful home but not something they should have on that street. if they came to my house. no way tear my house down. fix my chimneys, replace my roof, finish my dirt basement-but tear down a 150-200yr old home. no. I can do stuff for my community too. fix my house. I hope they don't have to put it up for callateral like the other family did because they couldn't pay the bills.

This ISN'T NEWS!!! I hate it when a TV channel uses their news channels to promote other shows on their channel. God, I wish 13wham would cover a real news story and get as much details as they are on this ""ABC’s Extreme Home Makeover"".

does this property need to be so extravagant? Where does it end with this show? They build very extravagant houses for families, with very extravagant furnishings and high taxes...spend the money on smaller houses and help more people...and don't run adds asking for skilled workers who are working in this heat and busting their buts all day...asking them to work for free..to build a house most of them can't even afford to live in

I had the same thought as to why they didn't have people lined up for the inside work already. Then I thought maybe its part of the shows excitement. In any case I am waiting to see if they actually get the house done by end of day sunday.
