Cars.com Editor-in-chief Patrick Olsen runs down a list of the top ten American made cars. The list may surprise you.
A new Cars.com survey reveals:
- 1 in 3 said the bankruptcies of GM and Chrysler said it would affect whether or not they consider a car from those manufacturers. But probably more troubling for GM and Chrysler is that 41 percent said they weren’t even considering them.
- 23 percent say they only consider cars that are American made, which is down from 27 percent a year ago.
- 10 percent say they will only purchase foreign cars. 67 percent are undecided.
- Last year, nearly half of the seniors surveyed (65 and over) said they only buy American. That number is now only 26 percent.
- The upper Midwest and south central U.S. are slightly more loyal to American made than those on the coast.
