Food Processor Pie Crust
2-1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
4 oz. lard, frozen and chopped
6 oz. unsalted butter, frozen and chopped
1/2 c. ice water
In a food processor, whisk together the flour, salt and sugar. Add butter and lard, and pulse 12-15 times, or until the dough forms the texture of pea gravel.
Add water, and pulse until the dough comes together.
Pour out onto a floured surface, and press together into a ball. Cut into two even pieces and shape into large discs.
Put the discs into the refrigerator for at least two hours, or freeze for future use.
