Fanatic. Seven letters long.

The definition? Someone who is very enthusiastic about a past time or hobby.

Abbreviation, fan.

Bills fans are renowned for their enthusiasm, both through the good, and the bad. But this year there's hope, especially on Twitter. They call themselves the Bills Mafia.

"Actually it was a big accident," said Bills Mafia co-founder Delmar Reid. "

"On a follow friday, which is a twitter tradition, i recommended the five guys who were blocked by Adam, and called them the Bills Mafia.

It started with just those four or five people, but needed something more to catch on.

Enter linebacker Nick Barnett.

"We're not a nation," said Reid. "A nation has borders. Bills Mafia is everywhere. Really what we've done, is we call it our movement. We're willing to unite anyone who wants to be a part of it, all bills fans in the social media space. We don't call ourselves a fan base, we call ourselves a 'fam' base."

"It's wonderful to be a part of Bills Mafia," said Bills Mafia Member Steven Lasek. "It's the love of our game, and the love of our team. Western New York fans, we all embrace the buffalo bills, we love em, and we just bleed red blue and white."

"The way we describe it is the term Bills Mafia existed, but Nick Barnett poured gasoline on it and lit it on fire," said Reid. "And then from there it just blew up. Now since we sign free agnets and we've brought in some draft picks, Bills Mafia already existed, so they come to the team and they're like, 'oh Bills Mafia, that's just how they do it'".

"They're awesome, to be honest," said Barnett. "Very similar to Green Bay. It's a small town feel, they're very invested into their team, and they love their team.

Now, those five members are up to nearly 8000. Some show their allegiance on their sleeve, on their head, or maybe even on their skin. They hope the Bills Mafia will continue to get bigger.

If you remember back in november 2010, Stevie Johnson dropped a pass against the Pittsburgh Steelers, blamed god in his tweet. Later that day, Adam Schefter from ESPN retweeted his tweet from a month prior, which in twitter time is like a month later. So from there we just started teasing adam, and created a hashtag called Shefter breaking news. He liked it so much that he blocked us."
