The Bills are going heavy at quarterback and kicking specialist and a little short at wide receiver in order to get the roster down to the 53 man limit by the Friday deadline. With still more than a week before the opening game at the Jets, the Bills have decided to keep both Tyler Thigpen and Tarvaris Jackson behind starter Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback. In a bit of a surprise, all the wide receiver past the top 4 of Stevie Johnson, Donald Jones, David Nelson and TJ Graham have been released. For the moment Brad Smith is both a 5th receiver and a 4th quarterback. Veteran defensive lineman Dwan Edwards was also released.

Here are the names of the players released on Friday
