ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - Chan Gailey wasn't in a mood to mince his words on Monday. To be honest, the Bills coach never really does that, but after three straight losses by a combined point total of 106-26, Gailey had a message for his players.
"If you're not upset with what's happened to us, going from 5-2 to 5-5 you better get out of the business. I told the players that," Gailey said. "Just pack it up, take your money and go home because if you're satisfied with being a loser you shouldn't play the game."
Gailey was asked if he is feeling the heat after the team has fizzled over the last couple of weeks.
"We're all under fire. Everybody's under fire every week. That has not changed since I started in the league in 1985. And it may be more true today than it was then. Everybody's under fire."
Gailey did not hesitate however, when asked if he was considering making a change at defensive coordinator with George Edwards' unit having struggled all season long, but especially over this recent stretch. His answer was simple.
"No."
