The Eastridge Lancers rolled to a 47-7 win over Canandaigua to take the Section 5 Class A championship at Sahlen's Stadium. Eastridge won for a second time this season over Canandaigua by using their dominating offense to overcome an early deficit and dominate the Braves. Quarterback Alec Mortitilaro was named the games MVP and Jeremiah Ortiz, the hero from the overtime win in the semifinals over McQuaid, rambled for 151 yards on the ground on just 13 carries. Eastridge now moves to Buffalo for a state playoff game against powerhouse Sweet Home at All-High Stadium at 8pm on Friday
