In one of the most dramatic endings in recent Section 5 playoff football history, the Eastridge Lancers advanced to the Class A Finals with a double overtime win over McQuaid. Facing a 4th and goal at the one in double overtime, Eastridge decided to skip the tying field goal and go for the win. Eastridge fumbled the snap and the ball fell into the endzone. While both teams struggled for the ball, the outcome of the playoff game stayed in the balance for about nearly ten seconds before the official signaled touchdown for Eastridge.
The Lancers go on to the Class A finals where they will meet the Canandaigua. The Braves, the 6th seed, pulled off another stunner by scoring the final 28 points of the game to beat previously unbeaten Brockport 35-14
