Bills defensive end Mark Anderson is out indefinitely after injuring his left knee in a 45-3 loss to the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday.
Think of it as adding injury to insult.
Bills General Manager Buddy Nix told the team's website on Wednesday that the injury is not season-ending, but that Anderson would miss significant time.
Nix also said Anderson will visit specialist Dr. James Andrews for further evaluation.
Anderson was signed this offseason, along with Mario Williams, to bolster a Bills defense that had problems getting to the quarterback last season. So far, the experiment has largely failed. Buffalo has allowed a combined 97 points and 1,201 yards over it's last two games.
