Now maybe Tarvaris Jackson will get a legitimate chance to play for the Bills. Buffalo resigned the veteran quarterback with head coach Doug Marrone stating that there will be an open competition for the starting job, including Ryan Fitzpatrick. In 2012 the Bills traded for the quarterback after releasing Vince Young late in the preseason. But Jackson was never active for a regular season game in Buffalo in 2012
Jackson has a substantial amount of experience in the NFL both as a starter and a backup. In Minnesota he quarterbacked the Vikings to a playoff berth in 2008. He signed with Seattle and threw 14 touchdowns in 2011, but ended up buried on the bench behind Russell Wilson and Matt Flynn in 2012
