Defense was the word for the Brighton boys' soccer team Tuesday night, both in defending its Section V title and in holding favored Pittsford-Mendon scoreless for 76 minutes.
Colin Johnson scored the games' first goal with just 21:43 left to put the Barons on top and open up a barage of scoring that saw David Medina and Victor Alvarez add goals just minutes apart.
Matt D'Amico added a goal for Mendon with 4:16 left, but Brighton wins to repeat as Class A champions.
