Rochester, N.Y.- Local lacrosse fans got the chance Tuesday to celebrate the Rochester Knighthawks’ National Lacrosse League championship.
Knighthawk players and staff carried the championship cup in a caravan of vehicles Tuesday as part of a parade from the Blue Cross Arena to Rochester’s City Hall.
Rochester Mayor Tom Richards presented the team’s owner and general manager a key to the city.
The Knighthawks captured the team’s third championship and the first on its home turf last month in a win over the Edmonton Rush.
