Baltimore, MD - Former Rochester Red Wings manager Earl Weaver has died, according to a report from the Baltimore Orioles.
He was 82 years old.
Weaver served as the Orioles Manager from 1968-1982, and from 1985-1986. His teams won four American League pennants and the 1970 World Series.
Weaver was coach of the Rochester Red Wings from 1966-1967. In two season, he led the team to 163 wins.
The Red Wings inducted Weaver into their Hall of Fame in 1995. He was back in Rochester in May 2005 for an autograph signing session at Frontier Field.
