ROCHESTER, N.Y. - It's been a busy week for Jared DeMichiel. Not only has he signed a contract to play for Kalamazoo of the East Coast Hockey League, but the former RIT goalie has also accepted an invitation to attend training camp with the Boston Bruins.
DeMichiel spent last season with the South Carolina Sting Rays and Elmira Jackals of the East Coast Hockey League, along with a brief AHL stint with the Hershey Bears. During his first season of professional hockey, DeMichiel finished with a record of 15-12 in the ECHL and 2-1 with Hershey in the AHL.
Bruins camp begins on Sunday, September 12th and runs through the 29th before the team heads to Europe to prepare for it's season opener vs. the Flyers on October 6th in Prague.
