The Pittsford Panthers are one win away from their first section V hockey championship after a 3-2 overtime win over Saratoga Springs on Saturday. They'll play Suffern in the finals on Sunday, March 11.

Meanwhile, the far west regional championships took place in basketball today. On the boys side, Aquinas, Bishop Kearney, and Notre Dame-Batavia are all moving on. East Rochester and Wayland-Cohocton meanwhile saw seasons of great accomplishment come to a close in the final 8. On the girls side, there were three section V teams in action, and three winners. Penfield, East, and Elba are all moving on to the New York State final four next week.
