ELMA, N.Y. (Tuesday, February 12, 2013) - The WNY Flash released their 2013 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) regular season schedule on Tuesday afternoon. The women will kick off their season in New Jersey against Sky Blue FC on Sunday, April 14th. The Flash will return to Sahlen’s Stadium in Rochester, N.Y. on Saturday, April 27th at 7:35 for their first home game of the season against the Boston Breakers.
“With several of the players coming off a big summer at the Olympics, the league is that much more competitive and that much more exciting to be a part of,” Coach Aaran Lines said. “We’re excited for the fans to get this experience and see players compete at the highest level.”
The Flash have a total of 22 regular season games scheduled for the season, which will span over a period of 19 weeks. The team will host 11 home games and travel for 11 away games during this time and predominantly play on weekends and holidays.
