Abby Wambach is coming home again.
Wambach will return to Rochester on Saturday, August 27th when the WNY Flash take on the Philadelphia Independence for the WPS title at 4 pm. She will be available to sign autographs before the game from 2:30 to 3:30 at Sahlen's Stadium.
Abby hoped to be playing in the championship game on Saturday, but her MagicJack club lost to Philly 2-0 in the league semifinals on August 20th.
This will be Wambach's third soccer related trip to her hometown this summer. Her most recent visit came just three days after team USA's remarkable run in the 2011 Women's World Cup, and saw a record 15,000 plus fans in attendance.
Gates will open early on Saturday at 2 PM, and the game will be televised live on Fox Soccer Net with coverage beginning at 3:30 PM. All tickets will remain as regular season pricing for the Championship match. For more information or for tickets, please call 585-454-KICK (5425).
