The Buffalo Bills made a major change at backup quarterback on Monday, releasing veteran Vince Young and picking up Tavaris Jackson from Seattle. Young, who was signed in the off-season to a one year deal, struggled to learn the Bills offense then performed poorly against the Steelers on Saturday night. Jackson, who once led the Minnesota Vikings to the post-season, was the odd man out in Seattle after they signed Matt Flynn and drafted Russell Wilson.
Currently the Bills still have Tyler Thigpen and Brad Smith on the roster as backups to Ryan Fitzpatrick. Jackson practiced with the Bills on Monday and hopes to get some playing time on Thursday in Detroit in the final pe season game. You can see the Bills and Lions live on 13WHAM TV Thursday at 7pm
