ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Churchville's Danielle Downey is now searching for new sponsorship on the LPGA tour after being informed that she will no longer be sponsored by Paychex, a Rochester-based business.
"They want to go in a different direction," Downey told 13WHAM Sports Director Mike Catalana. "I was lucky to have them for the last few years."
Downey has dealt with injuries over the past couple of seasons. She played in only nine events during the 2009 season while recovering from a hand injury, and was limited to just seven events during the 2010 season while playing on injury exemptions.
In her LPGA career, Downey has amassed $152,968 in winnings.
