I was stunned by his smugness.He actually smiled several times to show his contempt of questions he thought were below him. He should have been contrite and serious. I wanted to wipe that smug smile off his face. Just disgusting.

Mike, agree that he would have been better served with a more understated tone. However, some of the critiques I've read are vastly exaggerated. "Defiant" is a common word in these columns - one definition of which is "bold opposition to authority." That's the opposite of what I heard. He said that the university was right, that the investigations have to run their course, and that when the facts come in, he's ready to shoulder his level of responsibility, if any. You might not have liked the way he said it, but I think his message was a fair one.

Yes I watched the same news conference. I have not even heard the biggest supporters of coach Boeheim say he showed humility. They felt he had a right to speak his mind, which he did. I have covered the Coach for 25 years and I have no bias against him. I just felt he set the wrong tone for his University going forward

did you watch the same press conference?i could not disagree with you more.boeheim showed humility and class in my opinion.my question to you would be how how could you come up with that essay based on that pressor unless you had a bias against coach boeheim
