Gene Glynn was named manager of the Rochester Red Wings weeks ago. On Tuesday, the team was finally able to introduce the man in charge of turning things around.
Glynn put on a Red Wings uniform for the first time, then got right down to business, saying he hopes to turn things around in Rochester, and quickly.
"I know we've lost 90 here the last two years, and that's been brought to my attention," Glynn said. "The Twins have been here ten years and we've had some good wins and good players go through here, so hopefully we can get that back."
Glynn said his top priority is to get players ready to play in the big leagues, but to win along the way. He says one of the keys to success this year will be the Twins' ability to stay healthy, something that is out of his control.
